AACC South Asian Welcome Mixer

The South Asian Welcome Mixer is an opportunity for students who identify as South Asian to meet one another and also learn more about the Asian American Cultural Center as a university resource.
You will have a chance to meet our many South Asian student organizations (Nepali Student Association, Yale Rangeela, Yale Bengali Student Association, MonstRAASity, Yale Jashan Bhangra, and South Asian Society), play games including Carom and Ludo, have mehndi/henna art done on your hand, and enjoy some delicious South Asian appetizer food/drinks.

Asian LGBTQ+ Student Welcome Mixer

Join us for an opportunity to meet and mingle with Asian LGBTQ+ students from across campus, enjoy some delicious refreshments, and learn more about resources offered by the Asian American Cultural Center (AACC) as well as the Office of LGBTQ Resources. This event is open to Yale College, Graduate and Professional school students.

Asian International Student Welcome Mixer

Join us for an opportunity to meet new as well as current Asian international students from across campus, enjoy some delicious refreshments and learn more about the Asian American Cultural Center (AACC) as a resource for you during your time at Yale!

AACC Southeast Asian Welcome Mixer

Join us for our annual Southeast Asian Welcome Mixer to celebrate another new academic year. Meet other students and learn more about the various AACC affiliated student organizations who trace their origins back to the region.
This AACC event is co-hosted by Indonesian Yale Association (IYA), KASAMA: The Filipinx Club, Malaysian and Singaporean Association (MASA), Southeast Asian Movement (SEAM), Vietnamese Students Association (ViSA), and Student Association of Thais at Yale (SATAY).

Middle Eastern and North African (MENA) Welcome Mixer

The MENA Welcome Mixer is an opportunity for students who identify as Middle Eastern/North African to meet one another and also learn more about the Asian American Cultural Center (AACC) and Afro-American Cultural Center (AfAm) as university resources. This year, we’ll also be having a grand opening of our new MENA Space, located on the third floor of the AACC! Location can be found through registration link.

Fall '22 Asian Retreat

A retreat for Yale undergraduate and graduate students who trace their heritage to Asian and the Diaspora. We welcome and encourage all identities including LGBTQI folx, biracial, multiracial, transnational adoptees, and any immigration status to apply!
Based on diverse experiences and intersectional identities, we will explore our shared histories, celebrate our communities, and collectively build knowledge around ways to challenge social inequities.

AACC Welcome (Back) BBQ

Join us for our annual AACC Welcome (Back) BBQ event as we kick off the new academic year! You’ll have a chance to learn more about the Center, meet our professional and student staffers as well as other members of the community while potentially walking away with some AACC merchandise. Miso Soup for the Soul

Come join the AACC’s Wellness and Mental Health team in a cozy night of making miso soup, storytelling, and reflecting on the last semester! Two lucky attendees will also go home with a copy of the book ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’!

CHATogether Family Storytelling

In celebration of Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month, AACC and CHATogether want to hear from you about what resiliency and well-being mean to you and your family. We will have students share oral narratives about their families in a story circle and we invite you to attend to listen, reflect, and perhaps share your own family’s stories. We will have finger foods and refreshments to share. Please RSVP to attend.

Night Market

The Asian American Students Alliance at Yale (AASA) is excited to announce the return of Night Market! Modeled after the famous urban night markets of several Asian countries, Night Market is an event full of delicious street food. Come to the AACC on Friday, April 1st from 5-7pm for free food and a chance to meet other AACC affiliated organizations! Those who RSVP in advance will receive one free food voucher. Additional tickets can also be purchased day-of (1 for $2, 3 for $5)
This event features partner groups JASU, KASAMA, CASA, KASY, SAS, ViSA, TAS, MENASA, and PSA.
